PALO ALTO — June 18, 2025 — Plume is announcing today the appointment of Dave Wechsler as Chief Business Officer to lead and scale the company’s efforts in delivering stronger business outcomes for internet service providers (ISPs). An industry veteran with decades of experience across smart home, broadband, and emerging technologies, Wechsler joins Plume as it expands its AI-powered SaaS platform, now serving over 60 million locations.

ISPs are actively looking for ways to leverage emerging technology, including AI, to create new value for their customers and new revenue streams for their businesses. With data from over 400 ISP customers worldwide, Plume has extensive tooling for providers to identify trends, improve business operations, and strengthen consumer loyalty.

Wechsler will lead Plume’s global business strategy, including opening new business channels, forging industry partnerships, and overseeing M&A. With a deep understanding of always-on, highly-reliable connectivity and the use cases it enables, he is well positioned to commercialize new platform capabilities, expand into adjacent verticals, and drive revenue growth across emerging markets. His diverse experience will help ensure Plume remains a trusted platform for intelligent, adaptive connectivity and an industry leader in innovation.

“Connectivity is evolving fast, and ISPs need more than products, they need partners who understand their pressures, priorities, and the path forward,” said Dan Herscovici, CEO and President of Plume. “Dave brings both a clear grasp of what ISPs need today and a strong sense of where the industry is headed. His ability to turn data intelligence into growth across partnerships strategy and execution, will help us deepen our impact and expand further, globally.”

Wechsler joins Plume from OMERS Ventures, where he focused on Fintech and served as an industry thought leader on trends such as AI and blockchain. Prior to OMERS, he led smart home strategy, growth initiatives, and partnerships for Comcast and Hippo Insurance. Wechsler is also a multi-time founder and serial entrepreneur primarily in the IoT sector.

“I’ve spent most of my career at the intersection of connectivity, IoT, and emerging technology,” explained Wechsler. “We are past the AI hype cycle and it’s now about delivering real, operational impact customers can feel. ISPs are prioritizing smarter, more adaptive networks, and Plume saw that need early. I’m excited to help our partners tap into this next era of intelligence, uncover new use cases, and expand Plume’s presence in emerging markets.”

With one of the largest connected device datasets in the world, Plume’s AI engine learns from billions of interactions to proactively resolve issues, personalize experiences, and adapt in real time. Plume’s ability to turn data into action positions it as a foundational platform for the future of the connected home and business, reducing costs while unlocking new service and growth opportunities at scale.
