Plume, the Wi-Fi management specialist that works with dozens of broadband operators, has found its next CEO.
Daniel Herscovici, a former exec of Comcast – one of Plume’s biggest customers – has taken the helm of the company. He succeeds Adam Hotchkiss, a Plume co-founder who has been serving as the company’s interim CEO following the abrupt departure of former CEO and Plume co-founder Fahri Diner late last year.
Herscovici said he “jumped at the chance” to run Plume, a company he got to know while working at Comcast.
During his nearly 12 years at Comcast, Herscovici served in several roles, including SVP and GM of Xfinity Home (Comcast’s security and smart home platform/product), and headed up the operator’s Internet product. He was also involved in Comcast’s launch of metro Wi-Fi hotspots, integrated Wi-Fi gateways, DOCSIS 3.0 and Signature Support, a Geek Squad-style premium tech support division that Comcast previously operated.
